Alright guys! Short update from the orphanage, will ONLY post my short notes from my notepad, and maybe a little after that. Not a lot of time to fuss about, when borrowing the offices computers :) Some of these notes may seem a little like I don`t like it, or that something is wrong, but don`t take it like that! It`s AWESOME here, and I love it here so far :D I am merely pointing out some funny differences :)
Oct 13th; (day of arrival)
Cute room, traditional style, tatami mats(straw floor) TV and Aircon not functional, but who needs it? :D
Indoor slippers (required here) are about 8 danish sizes too small ;)
Hahah, I have been relaxing on the floor in my room a bit, and now my clothes is covered in tatami ;D
The futon is about 30cm too short ^^
... but AWESOME! The duvet is too long for me -- great stuff :D

I am too tall for the pissoir xD
So many kids, so many questions -- all talking at once, and my paper dictionary is not good enough ;P
Wow! Those small kids sure know how to do Kendo! :o
KILL THOSE GEARS! -- here, manual is very rare. They have a manual van here, and everyone starts out in second gears, and revs it until the pistons are almost coming out of the bonnet :D
Spiders the size of your hand! :D
(@Frank and maybe Fjord) I`ve found L! Well, someone that looks like him, and he stopped by today xD
I am not a tool that the small kids can use to drag other adult kids (18) out of bed to have dinner xD
How could those small kids almost convince me to want to start watching Beyblade? It`s somehow awesome xD
Got the TV working tonight ;D "Orre wa Bondo... Jamesu Bondo.." xD Die another Day in Japanese was awesome xD
<3 Japanese:
from the Oxford Japanese Dictionary;
usage notes -- ordinal numbers.
"sometimes the prefix "dai" is added for no reason with no real change in meaning"
AWESOME.
No way you can convince me to use the womens bath instead of waiting for the mens to fill xD

Found a guy taller than me! He`s another volunteer, that will work here for the next 10 days. Another one also arrived today, and he will be here until after I go home. Moved in with them in a small apartment. Neats!
Two university students, one a metal-head, one a hip-hopper. Metal:10 days, Hip-hop: 23days.
By the way.. quail eggs... nomnom!
So there`s a hairdryer in my room, and I decide to use it, since the Japanese insist on having their baths at nighttime (sleeping with wet hair is fail), and I expect to get comments from my room mates --- at the same time, one pulls out his OWN PERSONAL hair dryer, that he brought for this trip for and starts to dry his SHORT hair. awesome xD.
Oct 16th;
Ok, seriously, these toilet booths are too small for me.. I can`t sit down without having my legs bent up in a sharp angle xD
Blaaargh! Cheap acoustic guitars in the second hand shop xD
Do not mistakenly call Adachi-san Adachi-CHAN ;D
"English tea with milk" is NOT English tea with milk ;-) But it is hot, and from a vending machine.. in a can. Sweet! xD
It seems that my roommates use a phone dictionary to look up the way to write the kanji for their reports.. a lot.
Cold shower, burning hot bath - wut? Used to it now, though ;D
Blisters! :D
Oct 17th;
AWESOME!! I got a pair of their largest slippers today! Only about 3-4 Danish sizes too small now :-D No more need to walk on tiptoes all the time now :)
That`s it for now, and probably for about a week or more. Hope some of you enjoyed my little input from my AWESOME trip to Japan! :D
Later guys!
