Hey guys! Here`s another update from me here at the orphanage (well, actually, no, but read on to know why), where I write up the notes I have made from the past days, and perhaps explain a little more for some of them. Enjoy the short comments from my trip! I think they are more interesting than hearing the whole thing ;)

Nothing to report! ;o

Oct 19th;

Today is my day off -- going to Tenjin, alone, with public transport. Got a map of Tenjin in my hand, but it`s all in Kanji... :D
(Tenjin is the center of Fukuoka city, where all the shopping happens ;D)

Just walked by a high-school, on the way to the station, and wanted to take a picture to show everyone how a Japanese school looked, with the kids in their uniforms and all -- then I remembered, that everyone here thinks I look between 25 and 28, and the students are 14-17 ;; bad idea, never mind.

What the... a car was (as far as I could see) being towed, God knows why, but they had drilled holes in the roof to attatch cables so they could use the trucks crane to lift the car onto the truck. Pretty sweet looking car, too o.O

Aaand I am in Tenjin! Now if I could only figure out which way this road (no idea what the kanji for the road name means ;D) is, so I can go in the right direction!

Hehuh! McDonalds was noted on the map, and I asked that nice parking officer which direction the park is *rotates map* THAT WAY! ;D

Buying a pair of prescription glasses, including fresh eye scan, case, frame, everything -- 5250 yen. Time from order to pickup -- 20 minutes. BOYAH!

Cheap guitar strings!
(darn, wish I had bought more SP Martin strings.. )

Oct 20th;

First and LAST time I use a WashLet. PERIOD.

Did I just buy "English Tea /w milk" again? What`s happening to me, I actually like this? Ah well, when I get back to my room I can be normal with my ice coffee ;)

... and the Swine Flu Epidemic of 2009-???? has hit the orphanage (again), and only maybe about 3 of us don`t have the vaccine (never managed to successfully get a good answer as to how the sick one got the flu, though..) They seem to want to evacuate me to homestay again, to make sure I don`t get sick.

Oct 21st;

Been barred from going to the 2nd floor -- they really want me to stay healthy ;)

Wearing a face mask -- see previous statement.

Host family is coming tomorrow to discuss my "evacuation" with the orphanage. I really liked staying with them, and in a way I am looking forward to doing it again, but I don`t want to leave the orphanage yet :/

Raking leaves on the roof of the orphanage! ;D

If I am leaving tomorrow, I want to go back and do the English Quiz us 3 volunteers have prepared (medals, pictures, and more! ;D ) and say properly goodbye with gifts to some people --- maybe a full day trip? Hmmn.......

Just almost completed packing... IKITAKUNAI!

Oct 22nd;

No notes, but might as well tell yall what happened. I moved back in with the host family, but I am returning tomorrow to do the English Quiz and say properly goodbye at around dinnertime. After that, we are not sure whether I will return to the orphanage again, since they want me to return ONLY if noone is sick at the orphanage -- I will have to wait and see. Anyhow, nothing to do about it. It`s nice here at the host family though :) On Saturday we are going to Nakasaki, to see some of the Nuclear ruins, and look around. Tomorrow, no clue, but taking it slow I think.
Before I got picked up, Adachi-san and I went to the shops and walked around, and I ended up buying two Bleach Manga books (which is quite a lot of comic ;o for about 900 yen. Tried reading a bit of it, and it is reaaaally quite a slow and hard process. So many hard words that I need a dictionary for, and finding the fact that theJapanesewritewithoutspacingquitehardwhenyoudon`tknowthewords!

That`s all for now, might have some pictures tomorrow? Not sure :D

Byee! :D
